About CABOOSH's Before School Hours care
At CABOOSH, the journey into the day begins with our Before School care Program, a vibrant and enriching initiative designed to make these early hours a source of inspiration and growth for your child. With our unwavering commitment to providing a supportive and caring environment, we have embedded routines to help your little ones ease themselves into the day.
At CABOOSH, our doors swing open at 6:30 a.m. ensuring that your morning routines flow seamlessly. We kick off the day with a gentle start, offering quiet activities that allow your children to ease into the morning. Breakfast is served with care, making sure every child begins the day well nourished. The following hours are brimming with exciting indoor and outdoor adventures, with plenty of laughter and learning. When it's time to whisk your little ones to their schools, trust our dedicated educators to transport them safely on our private minibuses.

Before school care is just one component of OOSH (Out of School Hours care). Before school care is perfect for busy families to cater to the needs of children before the regular school day begins.
Our before school programs are available for primary school aged children in Camden and surrounding suburbs. You can choose to enrol your children full-time with us, part-time, or just casually. So, whether you’re a full-time working parent who needs both before and after school care 5 days a week, or you just need support here and there, CABOOSH is here to help.

How does Before School Care Benefit your Child?

How much does Before School Care Cost?
CABOOSH offers competitive before school care fees. We understand that before school care can be vital for many families, and that it should be accessible for everyone.
We are approved for the childcare subsidy, meaning you can receive reduced fees. What this means is that in most cases, the government will pay up to 90% of your fees, reducing your out-of-pocket expenses. Every family’s entitlement may be different based on your individual circumstances.
The fees on our website are quoted before the subsidy is applied. For before school care, our fees as at 1 January 2024 are (subject to 6 monthly review):
Permanent Booking: $25 per session,
Casual Bookings: $27 per session, or,
$285 per week for full-time care (both before and after school care every day during school terms).

Why Choose CABOOSH?
The team at CABOOSH are experienced educators and are dedicated to making sure your child has a fun, educational and caring before school care experience. We operate out of the Camden Baptist Church, and our programs are delivered in a nurturing Christian environment. The dedicated space of the church grounds is the perfect environment for your children to relax and enjoy their afternoon away from school.
We partner with Camden Baptist Church to provide additional services to our families and the community, which includes a free tutoring program one afternoon each week for the children in our care.
There are also opportunities for your children to get involved in other programs offered by the church, including transitioning care on a Friday night into the church’s Neutrons & Girlztime programs (youth groups for primary school aged kids).

In addition to providing quality before school care programs, CABOOSH offers other out of school hours programs. These include:
After School Care
We will pick up your children from school in one of our private mini buses and drive them to the centre, where they will receive a nutritious afternoon tea and participate in a range of fun activities until you’re ready to pick them up by 6:30 pm.
School Holiday Care/Vacation Care
Our school holiday programs are exciting, action-packed days including incursions, theme days, workshops and excursions. During the holidays, our centre is open from 6:30am-6:30pm. During this time, your children will be provided with a healthy and delicious breakfast, lunch and & afternoon tea, allowing you to continue working during the holiday period.
Pupil Free/Staff Development Days
Our centre is open all day (6:30am-6:30pm) on most pupil free / staff development days. On these days, we provide your children with breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and snacks, as well as a range of games and activities.
